This bush type clematis sports the most charming nodding blue flowers imaginable! The long-lasting 1.5” indigo-blue blooms and mop-head seedpods decorating the mid-green foliage at the same time. The first flush of open, bell-shaped flowers appears in early Summer on the previous year’s growth, packing a lot of flowering punch into its 15”x18” frame. In early Spring, thin out weak or damaged growth on this Group 2 Clematis. After bloom, remove the spent flowers and prune up to half-way down the stems to encourage a second round of bloom in Fall. Attractive silvery seed heads. Loved by bees and butterflies. Its compact size makes it a perfect candidate for a container. Grow in fertile, well-drained soil.
