This new broccoli selection will help you do just that. ‘Kariba’ will perform just about anywhere, producing tasty broccoli during the fall season in cold climates, winter for moderate climates, and a late fall/early winter or spring crop in coastal California. It produces large, tight, uniform heads with a crisp texture and a sweet but earthy, flavor. Broccoli prefers a well-drained, fertile soil that is high in organic matter with a pH of 6.0–7.5. A consistent supply of moisture throughout the growing season is important; irrigate regularly for best results.
