Aeschynanthus gracilis

A lovely gesneriad given to us by Jon Dixon. Aeschynanthus gracilis has long hanging stems from which red tubular flowers spring. Would make an excellent hanging basket plant in bright shade. Looks very lush & tropical. Found growing on trees in forested valleys of southern Yunnan, Aeschynanthus is an epiphyte so plant it in well-drained soil & let it dry out slightly between waterings.
