Sideritis cypria If you’ve got a dry and well-drained garden you must try this refreshingly different perennial from Cyprus! Adding texture and bright eyecatching contrast to your design efforts, velvety, silvery-white foliage forms a sparkling dense clump about 12”x18”. From late Spring or early Summer onwards, you’ll be delighted by surprising bright lime green spikes to 30” tall held on erect, reddish branching stems. Stacked like origami, the flowers are actually cupped calyces which later sport small yellow blooms. Really fun to grow and combines wonderfully with black groundcover Sedum ‘Voodoo’, gentian Anagallis monellii and golden-orange Ursinia anthemoides. Excellent in containers too! |
