Salvia dorisiana
"Fruit Scented Sage"

Heads up fans-o’-fragrance! Brush the big soft and tactile heart-shaped leaves of “Fruit-Scented Sage” and woo-hoo... a strong tropical fruit scent will be your reward! And the 1.5” fuzzy magenta tubular flowers born in lime calyces are pretty! Much branched to 4-5’ tall, I like to tip pinch it to keep it shorter. Blooms Spring and Summer here along the coast. As an herbal tea it tastes like ripe melon! Hummers! Rich, loamy soil. Deer resistant.
