Lilium regale
“Regal Lily”

Lilium regale Regal Lily Lilium regale Regal Lily

Discovered in the early 1900s by E.H. Wilson, the aptly named “Regal Lily” rocked the garden world. It’s still considered the ULTIMATE LILY to grow and I agree! 5-10 huge (6” across), yellow throated, ruby backed flowers unfold atop muscular stalks, towering 5-8’ over the garden! Highly perfumed, they’re easier and tougher than oriental lilies and each year begets more stems and  flowers. Our 6 year-old “Regal” bore at least 20 stalks and 100 blossoms last year, beginning in May and lasting 2 months. Cut to the ground after bloom and give it compost in Spring. Note: We ship large, dormant bulbs to get you off to a strong start. Deer resistant!
