Lilium regale “Regal Lily” Discovered in the early 1900s by E.H. Wilson, the aptly named “Regal Lily” rocked the garden world. It’s still considered the ULTIMATE LILY to grow and I agree! 5-10 huge (6” across), yellow throated, ruby backed flowers unfold atop muscular stalks, towering 5-8’ over the garden! Highly perfumed, they’re easier and tougher than oriental lilies and each year begets more stems and flowers. Our 6 year-old “Regal” bore at least 20 stalks and 100 blossoms last year, beginning in May and lasting 2 months. Cut to the ground after bloom and give it compost in Spring. Note: We ship large, dormant bulbs to get you off to a strong start. Deer resistant! Annie |
