Philadelphus lewisii
'Goose Creek'

Tolerant of ANY SOIL – including CLAY – this fast and resilient shrub, a cultivar of “Western Mock Orange”, explodes into a grand cloud of bloom in late Spring into Summer. Long-lasting and held on long arching branches, the double 1.5” pure white blooms emit a heady fragrance – orange-blossom with a hint of pineapple. With its pretty toothed bright green 3” leaves, use it as a perfumed background shrub, informal hedge, or in those tough spots that have you stumped. Cut back every 5 years to refresh. Best in compost amended soil. Native to CA and the Northwest. Deer and rabbit resistant!
