Falkia repens
"Little Ears"

Need a low fast-spreading groundcover that really does the job without the eventual disappointing woody stems and brown patches? Native to S. Africa, “Little Ears” creates a lush, dense, rich green cushion-y mat or carpet to 5” tall and up to 3’ across. Adaptable, LOW MAINTENANCE and highly effective for suppressing weeds, it’s liberally sprinkled in late Spring thru Summer with cute upward-facing flaring white trumpet flowers. Best in fertile, well-drained soil, so sprinkle some compost over it once in a while. Valued for use between stepping stones, too. Cut back anytime to refresh. EVERGREEN in USDA zones 9-10. Hardy to 10-20F. Bees and butterflies.
