Salvia gesneriiflora
'Mole Poblano'

We received this Salvia a few years ago as ‘Mole Poblano’, though some now say it is indistinguishable from S. gesneriiflora ‘Tequila’. All I can tell you is this GORGEOUS Salvia has BLOOMED LIKE CRAZY and NON-STOP here at the nursery (in bright dappled shade) since Fall 2017! Absolutely stunning brilliant fire-engine red tubular blooms to 3”-long emerging from contrastic black calyces on 8” spikes are AMAZING! Black stems, too! Large emerald heart-shaped leaves. To 7’ x 6’ but can be easily pruned shorter. Rich soil. Deer resistant!
