One of the easiest shrubs you can grow! This evergreen Mediterranean native is so perfectly suited to our Bay Area climate that it needs little to no care once established. Flowering in late Spring thru Summer with an abundance of 2” wide blooms boasting big, poofy yellow stamens surrounded by lovely crepey petals varying in color from bright pink to pale purple. Attractive to butterflies, but it’s straight up bee heaven! Grows to about 3’ high and wide with an attractive mounding form and dense grey-green foliage. Prune for shape once flowering finishes if a tighter, more formal shape is desired. Combines well with Lavender and CA natives. Deer, drought and clay tolerant!
