Dark green leaves look as if they have been hand-painted with limey-yellow stripes on this strongly upright, DENSE, herbaceous grass. An outstanding container specimen, it also makes a bold statement planted in the garden. Ultimately reaching 5’ high & 3’ wide, it’s a slow grower, so plant a small group for instant impact. Produces attractive burgundy plumes in Fall that fade to a lovely buff – leave them on all Winter or use them in floral arrangements! Tolerates any soil type including CLAY.
