Euphorbia stygiana

Euphorbia stygiana Euphorbia stygiana

Be a hero and help to save a critically endangered beauty! This large species of Euphorbia is native to the Azores islands and with only 50 known adult plants in the wild, it’s in need of a helping hand. A perennial, evergreen shrub growing up to 5’ tall and 6’ wide, it can’t be beat for year-round foliar interest. Leathery, green leaves grow in clusters on top of bare branches and tend to turn a vibrant red during winter. In late Spring thru early Summer, small, honey-scented, pale yellow flowers pop up in wide umbels. Prefers well-drained soil and is drought tolerant once established.
