Lustworthy flat, starry rosettes of rich, chocolatey-plum 12" across and lightly edged in creamy-pink are certainly sensational in the garden and even more so when they're blooming. 15-20" strongly erect stems, studded with also-chocolatey leaflets are crowned in Summer with startling, radiant orange to red, urn-shaped flowers. When the leaflets fall, they birth new plants! Super duper for creating colorful foliage vignettes. We grew ours last year with Echeveria colorata, Sedum 'Angelina' and Sedum 'Voodoo'. Tolerates high humidity. Hardy to 20 F.
