Wish Lavender season lasted a LOT longer? Lavendula lanata blooms mid-Summer thru early Fall, sending long stems of sweetly fragrant, dark purple 2” clusters rising from a dense, shrubby base of silver-white, fuzzy leaves. LOVES hot and dry conditions, like in its native southern Spain. Grows to 2’ tall by 3’ wide in well-drained, fertile soil - great for containers, too! Drought and deer resistant, and beckons every bee, bird and butterfly nearby. Great as a cut flower. Avoid over-watering. Cut back immediately after bloom is finished by no more than 1/3rd - at the latest by first week in September, to maintain appearance for next season.
