Let’s face it – we need Rosemary! Our potatoes need it. Our soups and savory dishes are sad without it. But we don’t need a cubic yard of it. Enter this wee cultivar! Now you can make room in your garden for rosemary without resenting its massive footprint! Tidy and compact, it has all the charming features of your de rigueur rosemary (spicy scent, tough and tolerant, with sweet pastel blue flowers in Spring to charm the bees) without the ungainly size. Only 1’ tall and a little wider, it’s happy in pots, at the edge of the herb border, or in a rock garden setting. It’s not a speed demon, so if you need bushels of rosemary, this is not the plant for you, but for dabblers and culinary lightweights like moi, it’s just right! Evergreen, drought tolerant and deer resistant, of course!
