Helichrysum bracteatum
‘Double White’

"Strawflower"
Helichrysum bracteatum Double White Strawflower

The blooms flourish in abundance Spring thru late Fall on this TALL (to 4’ tall by 3’ wide) and tough Strawflower that produces a plentitude of startling, 3” wide, geometric blooms. Two rows of white pointy petals radiate from mesmerizing, sunny golden-yellow centers. Blazing hot full sun, neglect and less than perfect soil are all easily taken in stride by ‘Double White,’ which makes an excellent cut flower – to prolong your enjoyment, they make awesome dried flowers, too - just snip blooms about a week before they open, hang upside down in a dry place and it’ll last, perfectly for a long, long time.
