Salvia macrophylla ‘Upright Form’

Salvia macrophylla ‘Upright Form’ Salvia macrophylla ‘Upright Form’

Everybody & every garden needs some big, luxurious, tropical-looking leaves like these – so useful for visual balance – especially us cottage gardeners with all of our bouncy blooms! And how can you resist these intensely hued, true royal blue flowers! I also adore this rare Peruvian sage for its dense upright form (to 5’ high & 4’ wide) & for the fact that it doesn’t spread or get woody, but is a gorgeous clumper with those heavenly leaves all the way to the base. Long blooming & well displayed, the flowers appear on upright branching stems Summer thru Fall. Fast & easy in rich, composty soil. Cut back to 8” tall in Winter for fresh new growth each season. Hummers! Deer resistant! Returns from roots if frost damaged in zone 9.
