Heliotropium arborescens
‘Alba’

THE most fragrant Heliotrope! More vigorous and longer-lived than the purple and dwarf forms, ‘Alba’ is a true perennial, living for years in part shade and rich, well-drained soil. I love working near this deliciously-scented heirloom, its continuous parade of Spring thru Fall blooms give off a powerful aroma of sweet vanilla, making weeding anywhere nearby a scent-sual thrill! Starry white-flowered 3-4” clusters are displayed from top to bottom on a bushy mound of textured foliage, 30” x 30”. Can be lightly pruned to shape and remove dead stems after last chance of frost. Side dress with compost in early Spring for perfect appearance. Wonderful outside a window or trailing from a container (15+ gal). Butterflies! Deer resistant!
