Nicotiana ‘Hot Chocolate’

This charming strain of Nicotiana originated from Blue Meadow Farm Nursery of Massachusetts. Clearly showing a lot of Nicotiana langsdorfii, it bears an abundance of pendulous green tubes opening out to starry petals of ruby red to chocolate. 3’-4’ tall, multibranching, fast and easy to grow like all Nicotianas, give it rich soil and some shade. The colors are richest when grown in bright shade with no more than morning sun. Perennial USDA Zones 10-11, annual elsewhere, but colder climate folks need not dismay as it readily self sows! Snail resistant! Deer resistant!
