One of the prettiest violas out there, Super Beaconsfield showcases especially large bi-colored flowers that are an intense purple with a contrasting pale violet to white border. Each flower displays a unique pattern, some mostly purple & others with prominent whitish edging. The 3” flowers appear in early autumn on 6-8” tall patches of verdant green foliage & then bloom continuously all winter & often as late as April. Use this durable annual wherever you want a splash of purple, be that massed in a sunny bed, adding pizzazz to a mixed planter or spilling out of a hanging basket. No need to deadhead but removing spent blossoms improves the appearance. Flowers are edible & a popular choice for adding a floral touch to salads. Butterflies also enjoy the flowers. Easy to grow & care for!
