Trachelium caeruleum

With a common name like “Throatwort,” you can see why this beautiful plant is not well known. Easy to grow and vigorous, by mid-Summer, it produces very lovely, lavender-blue, 4”, “lacecaps” in great abundance. The blooms last thru Fall, have a faint violet scent, and are excellent for cutting. 2-3 1/2’ tall and 3’ wide. Evergreen and cold hardy. Cut back in Winter.
