“Fringe Cups”
A choice California native shade plant, “Fringe Cups”
combines wonderfully with ferns. The creeping rootstock sends
up leafstalks to 8” long set with maple-like, softly
hairy leaves, forming clumps. Where winters are mild, it’s
evergreen. Small, urn-shaped, Spring flowers with tiny, fringed
tips open green & age to deep red. Though not real showy,
they are attractively arranged along slender stems to 30”
tall. Very useful on the northside of a house, under redwoods,
oak trees and in woodland gardens.
Good composty soil is best.
