Primula sinopurpurea

The most beautiful Primula I’ve ever grown! Discovered in 1883 in China, this Spring-blooming Primrose bears the prettiest hued, rich, lavender-blue star flowers. The blooms are slightly drooping, and borne in one or two tiers atop 12” stems AND THEY ARE FRAGRANT! Rosette forming, the long narrow leaves are coated below with yellow farina. Deciduous in late Summer and Fall, they return in Winter and bloom in Spring. They love rich, loamy, well drained soil that is kept moist and bright shade. I fertilize mine twice a year and keep some in pots so I can enjoy their beauty and sweet scent close up.
