Lasthenia californica
“Goldfields”

Back in the day this wonderful California native annual would burst into bloom in early March bathing our California foothills, valleys, coastal lands in sheets of gold. Truly a treasure and super easy to grow. Reaching about 12” tall and 18” spread, this bushy wildflower blooms with a profusion of golden-yellow flowers from March thru May forming lovely golden pools in the garden. A nice foil for larger Spring bloomers, a perfect bulb cover, and excellent as edging, or in containers. Lucky for us, it re-seeds too-returning each Spring to warm our hearts. Poorish soil is OK.
