Dianthus plumarius

Dianthus plumarius Dianthus plumarius

These heirloom single “Pinks” are quite difficult to find nowadays, replaced with squatty annual Dianthus that plain don’t look right & die in a flash. Classically spicy-sweet 1” single flowers bloom enthusiastically in a mix of rose, pink & white June through October. Arching 12” stems hold blooms well above the blue-grey tufted matting foliage to 12” across. Their fragrance makes weeding your garden a sensual experience! Cut back after bloom for a second flush of flowers in Summer. Deer resistant, drought tolerant, self-sows & great in a bedside vase.
