Cypella coelestis

An absolutely gorgeous & rare member of the Iris family. This one is native to Argentina, Brazil, & Uruguay. Vigorous & easy, it grows to 3’ tall, making clumps of deeply pleated, pale green leaves. In Summer, it bears curiously shaped, beautiful blue flowers, with yellow markings, about 3” across. Forms bulbs, is deciduous and can handle light frosts.
