Collinsia heterophylla

A very attractive & hard to find native annual. It gives a very charming effect in front of flower beds or scattered under trees, or as a bulb cover. It blooms Spring thru early Summer bearing whorls of 1" long snapdragon-like flowers somewhat variable but usually white on the 2-lobed upper lip & lavender-purple on the lower lip. 1'-2' tall. Likes rich soil & cool Bay Area weather the best. Reseeds!
