Clematis heracleifolia
“Chinese Clematis”

This rare and robust Clematis is not a vine- it’s a shrub! Forming a large clump over the years, it gives us a wonderful display of rich blue, flaring tubular flowers, with a velvety throat. Sweetly scented, the blooms are clustered near the tips of the 3’ upright branches. It blooms late Summer thru Fall and likes a rich, well drained soil. Usually deciduous.
