| Cephalaria gigantea
Rarely found in American gardens, this giant sized perennial
“pincushion” provides an unusual mid to back of
the border cottagey effect. Blooming generally from mid to
late Summer you’ll get bunches of ice yellow, 3”
wide flowers atop amazing 4’-5’ tall upright stems.
(Superb for cutting!) Swaying and bobbing around in the breeze
atop an attractive 1’x3’ dense clump of mid green
foliage, the flowers entice both butterflies and bees. Cephalaria
gigantea loves sun and well drained soil. Cut it back to the
ground in Fall for a swell appearance each new year. Deciduous.Rich
soil is best.
