"Cobweb Thistle"

This is a lovely native California Thistle. Grey-leaved plants are well shaped & branching. Very cobwebby buds are delightful, & open to bright purple-red flowers. Great color and texture to mix with native grasses such as Festuca californica or native annuals like Layia platyglossa. Grows to 3' tall and about 2' wide. NOT excessively weedy! EASY! Poor soil is fine. A favorite of bees!
