| Salvia melissodora
“Grape Scented Sage”
This is my favorite Salvia! It should be called “Lavender
Scented Sage” instead of “Grape Scented Sage”
as it emits a powerful sweet lavender fragrance. 6”-8”
spikes of lavender sage flowers are produced in mass profusion
Spring thru Fall on an upright mucho branching shrub. Very
easy to grow - I almost NEVER WATER mine. It’s evergreen
& a magnet for bees, butterflies & hummingbirds. I
have this Salvia growing with the single pink rose ‘Dainty
Bess’ & it is always a “scentual” &
visual treat! Hardy to 20 degrees F.
