masses of purple spikes sitting atop knockout shimmering silvery foliage. A very rare California native it likes infertile, well-drained soil. Great in a large container & a host for the endangered Mission Blue Butterfly. When plants are young they may not have built up enough of the alkaloids that gives them a bitter taste & deters deer. Protect young plants until established. To 3-4’ high & wide.
