This brightly colored pincushion plant blooms ceaselessly from late Spring until after frost, and then reseeds itself. It's so floriferous, pretty and adaptable, we wonder why it is not used in gardens more often. 2' burgundy-crimson flowers are borne in profusion on a 2' x 2' plant. In my experience, it looks best in part shade and fertile soil, becoming a smaller plant in full sun. Beautiful next to silver foliage and a wonderful companion to old-fashioned roses.
