Gillenia
trifoliata
“Indian’s Physic”
“Bowman’s Root”
Distinct & graceful, this eastern North American native member
of the Rose family forms an upright perennial branching freely into
fragrant white flowers from June thru August. The red calyces make a
lovely contrast with the white blooms & persist in beauty after
the petals have dropped. Growing 4’ tall & 2-3’ wide,
its foliage is also an attractive bronzy-green. Long lived, it thrives
in almost any position or soil type. Really pretty combined with blue
Delphiniums.
