Eryngium eburneum
Totally trendy! And seen in many designer-fantasy type gardens. This
EASY & exotic Eryngium provides excellent bold form & texture
to the garden. Easily mistaken for a Yucca when not in bloom, as it
forms dense clumps of neat, narrow, sword-shaped, spiny-but-not-too-painful
leaves. In late Spring it begins to form numerous, long stalked, branching
stems bearing lots of ivory white, marble-like flowers, 3/4” across.
Eryngium eburneum grows 3’ to 6’ tall & prefers some
watering & well-drained soil. Very showy in a large container &
makes a fab cut flower, fresh or dried. Attracts butterflies, too.
