Bonus points for being both tough & adorable- this wee bulb would be equally at home in a rough & rocky dry garden as it would be in a super girly cottage border. Although, we’re not yet entirely sure which species of Nerine this is, it’s been growing happily (& growing on us) for a few seasons, producing svelte grassy leaves & undulating ballerina pink flowers. It doesn’t seem to have a strict cycle of growth & dormancy, but does more active growing & blooming in Spring & Summer. The whole production stays under 8” in height, but the bulbs will spread wide with time, albeit not aggressively. The wee flowers are super fun under close inspection & are great cut.
