Lathyrus odoratus ‘Janet Scott’

Sweet Ms. Scott has been perfuming Spring gardens with her seashell pink blooms since 1903. Like all of the old fashioned heirloom sweet peas that we love, “Janet” is more heat tolerant, with slightly smaller blooms & a powerful spicy scent. Plant as early as you can (in milder climates you can even plant in Fall) & in rich soil for best effect. Each plant will climb & clamber to 6’ & bloom for months if you keep the flowers deadheaded. Conveniently, Sweet Peas make marvelous cut flowers, so there’s little excuse to not keep them cut.
