Dianthus plumarius ‘Hercules’

From a chance seedling I planted in our gardens several years ago grew the mightiest Dianthus I’ve ever seen! A continuously MASSIVE BLOOMER from Spring to the end of Fall when you should cut him back to the foliage so he can rest - because left to his own devices he’d probably implode from exhaustion. Very attractive silvery blue dense foliage to 20” x 20" & endless fragrance, single white “Pink” flowers. Do remember Dianthuses love drainage, so it’s always good to plant them at the edge of a bed. Long-lived, too & won’t wimp out like those you find at the box stores these days. Sidedress with a bit of compost once or twice a year to keep him fat & happy!
