Sedum kamshaticum ‘Variegatum’

An enchanting, low matting, groundcover that looks pretty & cheerful all season. Easy as pie, drought tolerant & carefree- this rather new (& shorter than the species) selection forms a nice dense mat to only 4” tall & about 12” across with spoon shaped leaves merrily margined in cream & often blushed pink. Emerging from rosy pink buds atop pink stems are lots of cute golden star-shaped flowers that hug the foliage. Aging to crimson they keep the interest going late into the season. Just the perfect fellow for edging a pathway here & there or for brightening up any dry garden monotony. Combine with deep purple blooming Eryngium tripartitum for drought tolerant showy contrast. Choice for a low maintenance container or hanging basket as well! Attracts butterflies! Cut back in winter to keep it perfect.
