A big, honking species that's sure to inspire. With bigger, strappier, more robust leaves than any other Watsonia & blooming stems can reach a staggering 6' in height, this mid-Spring bloomer ranks as one of the most striking in the Watsonia clan! Blooms are bright red, attractive to hummingbirds, & make fabby cut flowers. Best of all, this bulb is summer deciduous, & needs no water during this time. Well–drained soil is recommended, but a heavily enriched soil is not required. From South Africa, of course!
