Euphorbia ‘Blue Haze’

An easy going, look-good-all-year-around, compact and colorful edger plant for just about any garden. Deserving far more recognition for its adaptability and usefulness as well as its good looks, this fairly recent hybrid of Euphorbia nicaeensis displays delectable powder-blue linear foliage topped from mid-Summer on with beautifully contrasting greeny-chartruese “flowers” (bracts). How pretty! Held on reddish stems the leaves remain ever-blue in temperate climates like ours. Cut back old stems when they eventually fade for reliable fresh new growth. Gorgeous planted in the foregeround of dark foliaged guys like Heuchera ‘Melting Fire.’ Not fussy about soil but well-drained is best. To 18” tall and 2-3’ wide.Like all Euphorbias, the sap of this plant can be TOXIC to varying degrees. Be sure to protect your eyes, skin and NEVER ingest!
