| Aeonium calderense
Only recently identified in 2001, this desirable & very rare Aeonium from the Canary Islands is one of our most treasured new introductions. Ideal for rock gardens, collector’s gardens, rock walls & containers or any well-drained garden, this easy to grow succulent creates a freely branched architectural specimen to 3’x3’. Ever so attractive olive green rosettes to 8” across bearing broadly spatulate leaves covered in a thin waxy coating. If you withhold Summer water, you’ll most likely see it take on a lovely stressed reddish coloring. The inflorescense is said to be 15” tall & perfectly cylindrical & I’m assuming its flowers are white or pinkish, though no one’s been able to provide us with the flower color as of yet.
