In Summer this rare, delicious tree turns into a sugary cloud of pink cotton-candy goodness! Large, 3”, round clusters of star-shaped, pink & very fragrant flowers smother & cover the leaves for more than a month. The fragrance is said to be like Daphne, to which this tree is a relative. Once established, the tree should have no problems tolerating frost, but in its first few years it will need protection. After establishment it should acclimate marvelously though, & is described as being both wind & drought tolerant. What a catch! The tree tends to go deciduous briefly during winter in colder areas.
