| Adenophora polyantha
“Ladybells”
Growing upright to 2’ tall and offering a long bloom
period, this new-to-us Adenophora or “Ladybells” bears masses of good sized flaring lavender blue bells from
Early to late Summer. Slow to spread, i.e. NOT INVASIVE its
said to resemble Campanula pyramidalis with larger flowers.
Pretty linear leaves are held in whorls. Adenophoras are very
easy to grow in part-sun, part-shade with rich, well drained
soil. Ever so charming too! May self sow.
