A large shrubby Salvia from the Canary Islands grown both for its long, sowy bloom & its soft white velvet leaves. This form is extra fuzzy! A tactile treat in the garden, tolerating lots of heat, drought & lousy soil, too. Grows 4-6’ tall & wide. Blooms are a nice red-purple with lightly contrasting papery magenta bracts. Rumored to be a good cut flower & like most Salvias, makes a great addition to any garden catering to hummingbirds, bees & butterflies.
