“Showy Evening Primrose”

Unavailable in the nursery trade, “Showy Evening Primrose” is native to the Southwest & quite a few states East of the Mississippi. To 2’ tall, it bears large very bright yellow flowers opening out from dark mahogany buds atop upright bright red stalks. Said to be an annual/biennial, it may over-winter here in USDA Zone 10a & will certainly self-sow. Easy & tough, let it provide a spash of brightest yellow to your Summer garden.
