| Acmadenia mundiana
This small shrub from South Africa is decorated with bright pink flowers marked with darker pink. It blooms in Winter & early Spring & attracts butterflies & beneficial insects. The foliage is small & tight & held close to the stem. Forms a densely branched plant that grows to 3’ tall. It is in the citrus family so the leaves contain oils that are aromatic when the leaves are crushed. Somewhat slow growing, it would be good in a container or rock garden and also in a mixed border with well-drained soil. Likes slightly acidic & and a layer of mulch to keep the soil cool.
