Monardella odoratissima ssp. pallida

Monardella odoratissima ssp. pallida

The greenish-gray foliage of this sub-shrub has yummy mint-scented foliage which can be used to make a refreshing tea. The 1” light purple-pink flowers are charming little mop heads, appearing in Summer & also provide food for bees & butterflies. Native to the foothills in California as well as Oregon & Washington. Grows to about 2’ tall & wide & prefers well-drained soil. Can take sun on the coast but give it some afternoon shade in hotter areas.
