Clematis stans

I’m super excited about this rare Clematis from Japan. It has lovely purple-blue fragrant flowers that have super curly petals. They reflex back upon themselves into a spiral. This is a shrubby clematis that grows to about 2-1/2’ tall. Grows on the edges of forests in the mountains of Japan, so give this Clematis some part-shade but can take full sun on the coast as long as it has adequate moisture. Provide good drainage. This one is a heavy-bloomer!
