| Salvia pratensis ssp. haematoides
“Meadow Sage”
Indigenous to areas with hard Winters, as well as to frost-free climates, “Meadow Sage” is an easy to grow Salvia just about anybody can grow. Prized for its erect sprays of large, lavender-blue to purple flowers (which last as a cut flower). “Meadow Sage” blooms heavily from June to September. To 3’tall & 1.5’wide, it will fit into any garden & can be grown in a large container. The large, wrinkled, heart-shaped, grey-green leaves form an attractive basal rosette & are aromatic.
